I have been a fan of Peter since 2008 and I think the idea to create a forum about him is a great idea. I hope many people will come to the forums and make posts. Hopefully word will spread and you can have more members signing up! I still check the website regularly to see any new posts. Once again, a great idea and I hope this becomes popular.

It will take time and some word of mouth to get people to use the forums, if you're a YouTube, please, give the forums a mention in a video if you can, every little bit helps.

Hi,
I only just heard about Peter passing. So sorry, he was a lovely man. RIP Peter.
People have left lots of nice memorial messages for him on various YouTube videos. Maybe some of them could be copied to his site in case there is no YouTube in the future (I know it's hard to imagine, but the once popular MySpace is a ghosttown now), or in case Geriatric1927's channel and videos cannot be kept for some reason. You could also put Peter's videos on his site (I mean the originals if you can get access to them, not to embed them from YouTube), so that they last forever.
take care Gemma

I had suggested to the owner of askgeriatric.com about an archive of his videos but apparently it's a small website so there are limits. It would be nice to have some here though. I have thought of downloading all his videos but goodness knows how much time that might take.

It would take a lot of time and work to get all those videos backed up and there isn't enough room on this server to host all of them I'm afraid.

Hi all, Unfortunately I only learnt of Peter recently, since his passing, and although I regret not finding his channel during his life it is a pleasure to see that he had and remains to have so much support It was a pleasant surprise to find this forum

Hi Monkey, Welcome to the forum, I don't anticipate a whole heck of a lot of activity here, it is after all just a tribute forum and website at this point without Peter to create new content, but it'll be here for the forseeable future and who knows, more people may show up and contribute.
Regards, Michael

Nice to see that this page is still around. The forums are a good idea. Even if they don't generate traffic like regular forums do, it's good to have a place to write something.
I was sad to learn last week about Peter's death. I've been checking in on his channel a couple times a year since 2007. His channel and stories were a rare kind of thing on youtube. I never met the man, but I'll miss him.

Sadly Peter and I never had the chance to meet either, though we spoke over Skype every day, the distance was too great for either of us to overcome, with his age and my disabilities, 3000+ miles just wasn't very easy to do. I still pray that one day I can visit England or even move there. I've always been an Anglophile and Peter offered me a lot of great insight into what living is like there. Sometimes he'd just point his camera out his window and the view was beautiful. Peter was in a very real sense like a grandad to me. I only ever had one set of grandparents so I like to think of Peter as my grandad in reality. I still cry every once in a while over losing him. I will always miss our long talks and his amazing wit and wisdom. I know he influenced a LOT of people and he's loved by tons of folks. He touched a lot of people's lives to a large degree. I don't think we're likely to see someone like him ever again in this world.

Thinking of Peter today on what would have been his 87th birthday. Still missing him but he will be forever remembered.

Peter sure had that ability, to make people smile, to make them cry or to just uplift the spirit. He was one of a kind and there are a lot of us who miss him terribly. Even if they don't know about these forums they think of him frequently with fond memories.
